And the cryptic, strange response was to ridicule her for being a sl** and a who** and this and that,” Whatley said. “She was allowed to leave class and go to him is what we understood now we’re trying to confirm that.”Ĭummins was reprimanded for his behavior towards Elizabeth, yet according to the Thomas family’s attorney, Jason Whatley, many students, and reportedly even staff members, place the blame on a 15-year-old child.ĭuring school hours, Elizabeth dealt with kids calling her vicious names, such as “sl**” and “wh***.” According Whatley, even staff members reportedly joined in, allegedly calling the young girl words to the effect a “tramp.”Ĭulleoka Unit School “The picture we’re getting from these students is there began to be a lot of students who took the side of Tad Cummins in the alleged kissing incident. “She was his special student,” family lawyer, Jason Whatley said. In other instances, the victim was allowed to leave class to visit Cummins, who had a “special seat” by his desk, reserved just for her. He apparently had a hospital bed in his room for teaching purposes, but allowed Elizabeth the privilege of sleeping on the bed, alone in the room. A student also allegedly reported seeing Elizabeth fast asleep on a bed that Cummins had in his classroom. The lawsuit is seeking damages from both plaintiffs, claiming the school board missed crucial red flags that Cummins was carrying on an inappropriate relationship with the teen victim, then 15, while on school premises.Īccording to court documents, the school board is accused of failing to follow Title IX, which requires public schools to protect each student from being sexually harassed, and to contact authorities immediately should any allegations of sexual abuse occur.įamily of former Culleoka Unit School student who was allegedly kidnapped and abused by fired teacher Tad Cummins last year, has filed a lawsuit against Cummins and the Maury County Board of Education, citing school failed to report "red flags." Lester, is only ever seen in one episode: “Herman’s Rival”. her younger brother, ‘Uncle Lester’, who is a werewolf, and Grandpa’s son. He himself is a “Werewolf”, which is due to his maternal mother, Lily’s bloodline, ie. Although his father is a “Frankenstein” and his mother a “Vampire”. He has a plush werewolf toy named Woof Woof.Īs the youngest member of the family, Eddie can be angry and bad-tempered, but he's also friendly and kind. He can appear in any crawl space, such as a cabinet. Werewolf-boy Eddie Munster wasn’t old enough to drive his own car in the 1960s TV show, The Munsters, unlike his Frankenstein-monster dad or vampire grandpa, who drove unique cars built by the shop of famed customizer George Barris. He is a Dhampir werewolf, and you can often hear him howl. His full name is Edward Wolfgang Munster. This guy wouldn’t be spooking girl scouts away from the front door by mistake, he would be impaling their heads on the front gate! I mean, that’s just a ‘for instance,’ but it is in the movie.”ĭespite the “not your grandpa’s (blank)” attitude that permeates his film career, Zombie isn’t without a sense of nostalgia. My film will highlight his inherent sadism. “If you pay attention to the show, they establish that Grandpa Munster is in fact Count Dracula. In addition to clarifying the back story for each main character, Zombie also hopes to inject a dose of reality into the once-campy franchise, particularly in areas where doing so will be a huge bummer. Pretty ambitious for what the studio is expecting to be a 90-minute family comedy. Zombie hopes to establish that Lilly was a product of incest, Herman killed his own creator after reading “Paradise Lost” and Marilyn, while seemingly a normal, attractive young woman, has an insatiable urge to kill that terrifies the rest of the family. “That’s why his son is part werewolf, even though he’s technically half Frankenstein’s monster and half daughter of Dracula.”Įddie isn’t the only character having his origins tediously over-explained. “First thing we’re gonna do is show that when Herman Munster was sewn together from dead body parts, his dick was taken from the body of a guy who was a werewolf,” explained Zombie in an AMA about the project. Zombie already has an iron-clad explanation for this mystery: One of the show’s quirks is the fact that Eddie Munster, the son of Herman (Frankenstein’s Monster) and Lilly (a vampire) appears to be a wolf-boy for some reason. While the show’s overall campy-ness has helped it maintain somewhat of a cult status to this day, it’s yet to enjoy a second life comparable to “The Addams Family.” Zombie hopes to change all of that through excessive violence, depictions of rape and a total lack of mystery and intrigue! Riding the last wave of the Universal Monster films’ popularity, “The Munsters” was a slightly ahead-of-its-time satire of late ‘50s to early ‘60s wholesome family television. Vampires, Frankensteins and spooky-ass surf rock, “The Munsters” had it all. When Rob Zombie re-booted the “Halloween” franchise, he subverted expectations by taking the story’s central mystery (“why does Michael Myers kill?”) and painstakingly/joylessly providing a plausible explanation, instead of a fun horror movie! Now the ruining-stuff auteur is looking to do the same with his upcoming “Munsters” reboot! "It's been tough," Alan Barnes, CCS Transportation Compliance Officer, said. It's also offering incentives for drivers, including paid training, insurance coverage for medical and dental, and 25 hours of work per week guaranteed. The Columbus City Schools District continues hosting hiring events to recruit more drivers. "You name any company they do home delivery, and that is taking our drivers out of the pool." Columbus City Schools "We’ve never had all of these home delivery service options before," he said. Palmer said another obstacle is drivers finding alternative careers that keep them behind the wheel. Districts can’t retain a driver when they want to retire." The biggest is that many drivers are more elderly, possibly retiring or needing to take time off. "The pool of candidates has drastically shrunk over the last five years," Palmer said. Why has the driver shortage plagued districts for several years? We're just days away from the start of the school year for Central Ohio districts, and many said they are still actively recruiting bus drivers. So these are real stories, these are real people, this is clearly a real, real problem out there.COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) - "Parents should absolutely be concerned," Ohio School Board Association Transportation Consultant Doug Palmer said. “I’m hearing from parents about what that means that a child that normally would be dropped off at five o’clock or at four o’clock is now on the bus until 5:15 or 5:20. “Most superintendents have my email, and I’m getting emails from them talking about the school bus driver shortage,” DeWine said. The typical bus driver makes $16 an hour, or about $34,116 a year, according to ZipRecruiter. Many drivers went on to find jobs in other fields or retire-and luring them back is difficult, especially because pay is quite low. The shortage is driven by a number of factors, including that many drivers were furloughed or laid off during the pandemic when a majority of students participated in class via remote learning. Charlie Baker activated up to 250 members of the National Guard to drive school buses throughout the state as needed.Ī national survey released at the end of August found 51% of school coordinators say their driver shortage is “severe” or “desperate.” A vast majority reported they’re operating on altered service schedules, which typically means that children are on a bus for much longer periods-sometimes hours. Ohio is far from the only state dealing with this shortage. DeWine added that his team is looking for a viable solution, adding he should have an update in the next few days. “We’re looking at manpower situations, so we’re looking at who else in our communities in the state has the legal ability to drive a bus and has the skill sets needed to drive a bus,” DeWine said during a press conference Tuesday. Earlier this month, Wilmington City Schools, for example, closed for a day after too many drivers were out to provide transportation for the 1,500 students who ride daily. Mike DeWine said he was consulting with the National Guard for possible help after several school districts in the state have had to temporarily close owing to a lack of bus drivers. The best features, the most important and innovative features, do affect every device you own - as long as you own Apple devices. Plus, there’s a lot more to Yosemite than the desktop. It feels outdated in places – the whole idea of the "desktop" just feels pointless, and saving and organizing files is still more complex than it should be in the age of limitless searchable cloud storage - but it’s true to what Apple believes in. This is still a PC operating system, made for devices with mice and keyboards and trackpads. Microsoft believes in a single experience for all devices Apple believes every device ought to have its own. It’s not Windows 10, with big ideas about how our devices are just different sizes of the same thing, how the interface and settings and apps should be consistent everywhere. It looks different… and yet the sameįor all the talk of convergence and of the ever-shrinking gap between PC and smartphone and tablet, Yosemite almost makes a statement in its lack of fundamental change. If you’re not forever married to another browser, Safari is very much worth a shot. I’m a habitual opener of hundreds of tabs, and I’ve never found an easier way to wade through the morass and find what I’m looking for. The list of frequently visited sites that appears every time you click on the address bar is incredibly handy, as is the visual tab switcher. Safari is so incredibly fast to load pages that I almost think it’s cheating. The biggest change was that I started using Safari again. I have a fraught relationship with the new Spotlight, by the way: it’s much more powerful, showing movie times and map results and topical Wikipedia pages, but it can’t do a simple Google search, and it would rather show me emails that reference Taylor Swift than actually help me play "Out Of The Woods." Spotlight is so close to right, but I still use Alfred every time. Spotlight doesn’t pop up in the corner of your screen, but in the center, in a gray window like Alfred. Some are small: there’s no "full-screen" button in the top right corner of the window, you just press the green button in the stoplight menu. Yosemite only changed a few things about the way I use my Mac. Yosemite is a new look - but it’s not a new idea. But there’s still a dock at the bottom of my screen, still a menu bar at the top, still the same settings and options and gestures and keyboard shortcuts. It’s a cleaner, calmer, more balanced look that I like a lot, even if I did change my background immediately. (Of course, that’s partly because a lot of apps haven’t even updated to support translucency yet. I stopped noticing it almost immediately. I’d love to say I have feelings about the translucency in the sidebars and menu bars of Apple’s apps, which shows a bit of the app behind whatever you’re looking at, but I don’t. All the fonts were suddenly a little smaller and a lot more Helvetica Neue (and also pretty pixelated unless I was on a Retina screen). After downloading and installing the update (which took about 25 minutes and a little over 5GB of disk space), I had a new wallpaper, the mountain face against pink and purple sky. It’s just that the new look feels familiar, only slightly more refined, like the finished version of what came before. That’s not to say it doesn’t look different - it does. It took about six hours for me to mostly forget that I was using Yosemite. Our original preview of Yosemite, from July. Pregnancy loss that happens after 20 weeks is called stillbirth. Miscarriage in the second trimester (between 13 and 19 weeks) happens in 1 to 5 in 100 (1 to 5 percent) pregnancies. It usually happens in the first trimester, and it can be caused by genetics, infections, anatomic problems, or clotting disorders. Most miscarriages - 8 out of 10 (80 percent) - happen in the first trimester before the 12 th week of pregnancy. However, you can still miscarry, even after seeing a heartbeat. Many architectural programs only work (or work best) with powerful computers that have excellent graphics cards, so it's important to look into the specifications of each program to be sure it's compatible with your machine. The software you choose might also simply depend on the type of computer you use for work. You may also want to look into the most popular choices in your country or city. For example, there may be specific types of software that your school or employer require you to learn. It's worthwhile to research the norms in the industry you're involved in or want to be in before settling on a type of software. Otherwise, you might end up switching to a different program in the future, which could mean having to learn how to use it all over again. It's important to make sure that the software you choose is compatible with the software that other people use. It's important to remember that paid programs are not necessarily better than free ones, so it's a good idea to research and read product reviews before buying software. Sometimes, deciding which software to use might simply be a matter of what you can afford. Some architectural programs are free, and for those that cost money, there's a wide variety of prices in the market. Some programs are easier to use than others, so many architects choose to begin with a simple program and move on to more complex software once they're familiar with it. It might take you a while to become fully comfortable with the software and get the most out of it. Most architectural programs are quite difficult to use, especially for beginners. Identifying what you need the software for is the first step towards choosing the right product. Alternatively, you might be more interested in finding a rendering program or a presentation tool to present ideas to clients.
